Pyrra Technologies Inc. (“Pyrra”, “we”, “our” and/or “us”) values the privacy of individuals who use our services, including our platform and websites (e.g., https://app-v2.pyrratech.comhttps://www.pyrratech.com) (collectively, our “Services”). This privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) explains how we collect, use, and disclose Personal Information in relation to our Services. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully so that you understand your rights in relation to your Personal Information, and how we collect, use, and process your Personal Information. 


In this Privacy Policy, “Personal Information” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual, such as an individual's name, address, telephone number, or e-mail address.


Please note that we may offer our Services to our business customers and, in this case, they may act as data controllers and we may process certain Personal Information on their behalf and under their instructions. Please refer to their respective privacy policies for more information regarding the processing of your Personal Information in these contexts. Our provision of the Services to our business customers is subject to our Terms of Service/Enterprise Agreement

1. Personal Information We Collect

We collect the following Personal Information from or about you or your devices from various sources, for the following purposes and based on the legal basis indicated below. 


In some cases, we need to collect your Personal Information to provide you with our Services. In these cases, if you choose not to provide the requested Information, you may not be able to use our Services. We will tell you if providing the Personal Information is required by law or under a contract and what are the consequences of failing to provide it.

a. Personal Information You Provide to Us.

Contact information. When you express an interest in our Services, subscribe to our newsletter, request a product demo, or sweep you may provide us with information such as your title, gender, name, ‘nicknames’ or aliases, email address, phone number, home address, job title, company or organization and its address, and any other information for us to conduct a sweep or enable you to get the most out of the platform (e.g., individual or organization about whom there is a security concern,  and other background information).  If you agree to a free trial, we will also ask you to provide a username and password to set up your account. 


Communications. If you contact us directly, we collect Personal Information about you, such as your name, title, email address, phone number, your organization, the contents of a message or attachments that you may send to us, and other information you choose to provide. If you subscribe to our newsletter, then we will collect Personal Information from you, such as your name and email address. When we send you emails, we may track whether you open them to learn how to deliver a better customer experience and improve our Services.


Payment Information. If you make a purchase through our Services, our third-party payment processor collects and processes your payment-related information, such as your name, email, billing address, credit/debit card or banking information or other financial information. 

b. Personal Information We Collect Via Automated Means.

Device Information. We receive Personal Information about the device and software you use to access our Services, including IP address, web browser type, operating system version, phone carrier and manufacturer, application installations, device identifiers, mobile advertising identifiers, and push notification tokens. 

 

Usage Information. We receive Personal Information about your interactions with our Services, such as the searches you build, content you view, and the dates and times of your visits. 


Information from Cookies and Similar Technologies. We and our third-party partners collect information using cookies, pixel tags, or similar technologies. Our third-party partners, such as analytics and advertising partners, may use these technologies to collect information about your online activities over time and across different services. Cookies are small text files containing a string of alphanumeric characters. The below references to “Cookies” include both cookies and similar technologies. We may use both session cookies and persistent cookies. A session cookie disappears after you close your browser. A persistent cookie remains after you close your browser and may be used by your browser on subsequent visits to our Services.

The information collected via Cookies may include Personal Information, such as unique identifiers, system information, your IP address, web browser, device type, and the web pages that you visit just before or just after you use the Services, as well as information about your interactions with the Services, such as the date and time of your visit, and where you have clicked. 

  • Strictly necessary Cookies. Some Cookies are strictly necessary to make our Services available to you, for example, to provide login functionality. We cannot provide you with the Services without this type of Cookie.
  • Analytics Cookies. We also use Cookies for website and app analytics purposes in order to operate, maintain, and improve our Services. We may use our own analytics Cookies or use third-party analytics providers to collect and process certain analytics data on our behalf. In particular, we use Google Analytics and DataDog to collect and process certain analytics data on our behalf. Both providers help us understand how you engage with our Services. c. Personal Information We Receive from Third Parties

Information from third-party sites. We collect publicly-available information from third party websites, such as posts on social media sites (including an individual’s username, the date and time of the post, and the content of the post) to allow customers to run queries and generate reports identifying disinformation, hate speech or threats.

Communicating with you We may process your Personal Information to communicate with you, provide you with updates and other information relating to our Services, provide information that you request, respond to comments and questions, and otherwise provide customer support. The processing is necessary for entering into, or performance of a contract to which you are a party
Providing technical support We use Personal Information to provide technical support, including diagnosing and resolving any issues you report. The processing is necessary for entering into, or performance of a contract to which you are a party
Marketing and advertising We may process your Personal Information for marketing and advertising purposes, such as developing and providing promotional and advertising materials that may be relevant, valuable or otherwise of interest to you. We, or a third party, have a legitimate interest in using your Personal Information to market and advertise our products and services. Where required by applicable law, we will only send you marketing communications with your consent.
Billing and accounting We may process your Personal Information to facilitate transactions and payments and to handle the payments you initiate and for accounting purposes, including keeping record of your payments. We, or a third party, have a legitimate interest in using your Personal Information to manage our billing and accounting operations.
Fraud and incident prevention We may process your Personal Information to find and prevent fraud and abuse, and respond to trust and safety issues that may arise. We, or a third party, have a legitimate interest in using your Personal Information to protect against and prevent fraud.
Compliance purposes We may use your Personal Information as required by law, including for compliance purposes, as may be required by applicable laws and regulations or requested by any judicial process or governmental agency We need it to comply with a legal obligation, for instance to comply with a court order
Administrative and legal purposes We may use your Personal Information for administrative purposes, including enforcing our Terms of Service / Enterprise Agreement or as necessary to establish, exercise and defend our legal rights. We, or a third party, have a legitimate interest in using your Personal Information for the purpose of addressing administrative and legal issues
Other purposes If we intend to use your Personal Information for other purposes, we will provide specific notice at the time the Personal Information is collected. Please consult the relevant specific notice

3. How We Share the Personal Information We Collect

Customers. We may share Personal Information with our customers, including when they run queries on our databases and we generate reports which we make available to them. 

Affiliates. We may share any Personal Information we receive with our affiliates for any of the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. 

Vendors and Service Providers. We may share your Personal Information we receive with third-party service providers who provide services such as website hosting, data analysis, advertising, information technology and related infrastructure provision, customer service, email delivery, auditing, payments processing, and other services. 

As Required By Law and Similar Disclosures. We may access, preserve, and disclose your Personal Information with law enforcement agencies, regulatory bodies, public authorities or pursuant to the exercise of legal proceedings if we believe doing so is required or appropriate to: (a) comply with law enforcement requests and legal process, such as a court order or subpoena; (b) respond to your requests; or (c) protect your, our, or others’ rights, property, or safety. For the avoidance of doubt, the disclosure of your Personal Information may occur if you post any objectionable content on or through our Services.

Merger, Sale, or Other Asset Transfers. We may disclose your Personal Information to service providers, advisors, potential transactional partners, or other third parties in connection with the consideration, negotiation, or completion of a corporate transaction in which we are acquired by or merged with another company or we sell, liquidate, or transfer all or a portion of our assets. 

With Your Consent. We may also disclose your Personal Information with your permission.

4. Your Rights and Choices

You have certain rights regarding the Personal Information we maintain about you and certain choices about what Personal Information we collect from you, how we use it, and how we communicate with you.

  • You may decline to share certain Personal Information with us, in which case we may not be able to provide to you some of the features and functionality of our Services. Moreover, if you wish to access, amend, or delete any other Personal Information we hold about you, you may contact us using the contact details provided at the end of this Policy. 
  • If you receive a commercial newsletter from us, you may unsubscribe at any time by following the instructions contained within the email. You may also opt out from receiving commercial emails from us and any other promotional communications that we may send to you from time to time, by contacting us using the contact details at the end of this Policy or by directly responding to the email. 

Depending on the country in which you are located, you may have additional rights as described below:

  • You may request access to and receive information about the Personal Information we maintain about you, update and correct inaccuracies in your Personal Information, restrict or object to the processing of your Personal Information, have the information anonymized or deleted, as appropriate, or exercise your right to data portability to easily transfer your Personal Information to another company. In addition, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, including in your country of residence, place of work, or where an incident took place.
  • You may withdraw any consent you previously provided to us regarding the processing of your Personal Information, at any time, and free of charge. We will apply your preferences going forward and this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing before you withdraw your consent.

Before fulfilling your request, we may ask you to provide reasonable information to verify your identity. Please note that applicable law may provide for exceptions and limitations to each of these rights.

You have the following choices with regard to the use of Cookies and similar technologies.

  • Browser settings. Many web browsers allow you to manage your preferences relating to Cookies. You can set your browser to refuse Cookies or delete certain Cookies. You may be able to manage other technologies in the same way that you manage Cookies using your browser’s preferences. Please note that if you choose to block all Cookies, doing so may impair the use of our Services.
  • Opt-out. To opt-out from Google’s use of information collected on the Services through Cookies for advertising purposes, you can download the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout or via Google’s Ads Settings or Ad Settings for mobile apps. 

5. Third Parties

Our Services may contain links to other websites, products, or services that we do not own or operate. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. Please be aware that this Privacy Policy does not apply to your activities on these third-party services or any information you disclose to these third parties. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before providing any information to them.

6. Retention

We take measures to delete your Personal Information or keep it in a form that does not permit identifying you when your Personal Information is no longer necessary for the purposes for which we process it unless we are required by law to keep your Personal Information for a longer period. When determining the specific retention period, we consider various factors, such as the type of service provided to you, the nature and length of our relationship with you, and mandatory retention periods provided by law and the statute of limitations. As standard practice, Pyrra reviews all expired contracts each quarter and removes related user information  from its platform.

7. Cross-Border Personal Information Transfers

Our Services are hosted in the United States (“U.S.”). If you choose to use our Services from a different jurisdiction, you are transferring your Personal Information outside of your jurisdiction and into the U.S. for storage and processing. Please note that the data protection laws in your jurisdiction may be different than the laws applicable in the U.S. 


If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland (“Europe”), we transfer your Personal Information outside of Europe to other countries, including to the U.S. We apply appropriate protections when we transfer your Personal Information to such countries, including by transferring Personal Information to countries which have been found to provide adequate protection by the competent authorities as appropriate (e.g., see the list of countries subject to an adequacy decision by the European Commission here), using contractual protections for the transfer of Personal Information, or transferring to recipients who have adopted binding corporate rules. 8. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We will post any adjustments to the Privacy Policy on this page, and the revised version will be effective when it is posted. If we materially change the ways in which we use or disclose Personal Information previously collected from you through our Services, we will notify you through our Services, by email, or other communication.
